I was viewing Yahoo's best Oscar dresses feature when I chanced upon Audrey Hepburn and her Givenchy dress. Ann Hathaway immediately entered my mind, what with the pixie cut and the portrait neckline of the dress. Just like that. Nonsense. Hehe. Anyway, what can you say?

It's my most awaited Mr and Ms Lyceum Manila. You could say you can sense my excitement. Wahaha. First, I am all set and ready to attend. Second, I already have a bet. It's none other than...

He was the first person to caught my discerning eye when I saw the pageant poster. He kinda remind me of somebody, you see. Another darling of my eye. 

I'm still devouring him inch by inch so take the chance and partake in this fête mâle. 

Uhm... I'll bypass the height...

 But I can't bypass this girl.

 Stop me before I grab her and fling her in the ring.

Uh-oh. Mommy! Pack me a sack of rice!

MY FASHION DREAMS ARE MADE OF...

I think my acquaintances think I'm anti-social. After all, I never dared attend a single CBA or JPIA night. But what they don't know is that I'm simply preparing for the big event in my life. One that will surely make an indelible mark in my fashion history. You see, I don't want to look back and see I have donned on tacky mullet dress or heels (see previous post) nor I had a bad hairdo and some sort of sloppy make-up. Ugh! I would cringe! Take note: I will cross-dress. Hahaha.

Anyway, here's my planned outfit, or the inspiration of my outfit rather. I will have them customized, you know. (That's another consideration why I am waiting for my final year in college. I'm stacking up on money. Resources.Whatever! Hehe.)

1. Dress/Suit

Since I don't want to be overt in my cross-dressing rampage, I'm eyeing for a peplum pantsuit.
It's a fight over Givenchy, Haider Ackerman and Stephane Rolland. Black and white is the color combo.

Givenchy is my first choice...

Then I saw Haider Ackermann's Spring/Summer 2012 suit,

Then Stéphane Rolland's Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2014 offering...

which I conceptualize to have this peplum design from the same Rolland collection...

Well, you will notice that peplum is the main concern. That is because of that little thing they called P. Wahaha. You know what I'm talking about.

2. Accesories

I would love a simple silver or black T-strap stilletos. Just like this one...

And a customized book clutch with an accounting book as the cover... (Spell sense with style)

3. Hair and Makeup

Oh. lala. I love Mary Katrantzou's Fall/Winter 2012 make-up look.

I'd love to try this.

JPIA NIGHT BEST DRESSED

Because I don’t want to be called bitter or whatever negatives, let me rework this post into a positive one.  Here are the hits, never mind the misses, of JPIA Night.. The theme was "A Night At the Titanic: Class, Fashion. Grandeur, All Intertwined as One."

1. Glamorous Cyra

Cyra is derived from the Persian word for throne. Gosh, give this girl the throne for the best dressed. Boy, I'm telling you, the dress, albeit simple and well, common, is a stand-out from the cacophony of tacky dresses that plagued the venue. Oh, I'm being mean. Let's have the next entry.

2. au naturel Melrinn

Another short number. I love the simplicity of the dress and the lace neckline, it's just plain love, love, love.And well, they make a cute couple, don't you agree? Haha.

3. Super Nova

If no long dress made the cut that night, I'd die. Honestly. Fortunately, this unstoppable chica proved to be an A-lister not only in her accounting subjects but also in the red carpet. 

And unfortunately, those are the selected few who made the cut. There you go.
